How telehealth care works at Axiom
Five steps, typically in this order. You'll know what happens next along the way.
Intake and consent
Answer a few eligibility questions, then review our privacy notices and complete your consent forms and health history in our patient portal (Practice Better), including your current medications and what you've tried before.
Free info call (optional)
At the end of your intake, you can choose a short free call with Brandon, our Administrator, to ask how Axiom works, or skip it. This call isn't a medical visit. Medical advice and treatment decisions happen with your clinician.
Labs
Before any labs are ordered, you'll get a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs. If labs are appropriate, your clinician orders them. You pay for your first labs at our cost, with no markup, together with a $99 non-refundable deposit toward your first visit. You get them drawn at a participating lab in Washington. Scheduled follow-up labs are included. Our Labs page explains which labs you pay for.
Video visit (already paid by your $99 deposit)
Once your results are in, we'll send you a link to book a video visit with Timothy Shawn Dannels, ARNP, FNP-BC to review your results and options. Nothing more to pay at booking. Treatment is prescribed only if your history and labs support it.
Membership, only if you start treatment
Membership renews each month until you cancel. Medications aren't included in membership. You pay for them separately.
Before your first visit
Start by answering a few eligibility questions and completing your consent and health history forms in our patient portal (Practice Better). At the end of your intake, you can choose a short free info call with Brandon, our Administrator, to ask how Axiom works, or skip it and move on to your first labs once we've reviewed your intake. Before any labs are ordered, you'll get a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs. If labs are appropriate, they're drawn at a participating lab in Washington before your video visit, so the first video visit is a real conversation about your results rather than a plan to get some.
The consult
Video visits are with Timothy Shawn Dannels, ARNP, FNP-BC, the prescribing clinician. You'll go through your history and results together, and talk through the treatment options and trade-offs. Bring questions.
Between visits
Secure messaging for questions, scheduled interval labs, and adjustments when the data calls for them. Follow-up is on a calendar so it doesn't drift.
If we're not the right fit
Some conditions and medications need in-person care, and some situations are better handled by another specialty. If that's you, we'll say so early and point you to care that fits, before you've spent time and money on labs.
